This is a recently built course, it has only been open for 7 months. Castle Bay is a links course with challenging fairways guarded by a variety of hazzards. The greens are plush and well kept. The first time I played the course was in January; I was suprised by the above average conditions on the new course. I recently returned in April and enjoyed my outing to the fullest. The fairways were ungelated and in pristine condition, the grass was a deep green from rough to rough. Castle Bay is a challenge to a golfer of any level. The price is extremely reasonable at a low $35 with cart included. I recomend the course for anyone in the Wilmington area of NC. If you are familiar with the area, the course rates above Landfall(Private) and North Shore(Semi-private). The course will definately be a priemere facility once the cosmetics are complete. For anyone enjoys playing a well kept, upper echolon course Castle Bay is for you. They could easily charge $50-65 for green fees, its a steal so get there while the gettings good. |
